Senior School

The Senior School Campus is home to Year 11 and 12 students, who are studying either the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB). The Senior School Campus is located at the southern end of the Girton Campus.

The environment of the Senior School Campus recognises and supports the need for our senior students, as emerging adults, to assume greater independence and responsibility for their own learning. To visit the Senior Campus is to witness the open and friendly atmosphere of students committed to their studies and interacting comfortably with both their peers and teachers.

Pastoral Care

Senior students enjoy a pastoral care structure modelled on a tutorial system. As members of the same tutorial group for two years, senior students develop strong working relationships with their staff Tutor and peers. In their role as pastoral carers, Tutors assist students with personal development, study skills, subject and career choices. Tutors are supported in their role by the Head of Senior School, Assistant Head of Senior School, Dean of Studies, Director of Career Services, School Psychologist, School Chaplain and Senior Tutors.
