With a history dating back to the early days of King's College, the Pembroke Scouts Group has continued to flourish. The group currently has Joey, Cub, Scout and Venturer sections. Boys and girls in the age range 6 to 18 years are welcome to take part and the group focuses on a range of objectives - skills development, team building, environmental awareness and care, social and community service, developing respect for self and others, leadership and initiative - to name but a few. The Scouts and Cubs meet at the Scout Hut, located on campus, and also take part in activities such as camps and treks.
The Pembroke Scout Group is led by a group of energetic and dedicated volunteers, most of whom have a long association with Pembroke School (as parents or old scholars) and Scouts Australia. The Parents of Pembroke Scout Group committee meets once a term and welcomes and encourages all parents of Scouts and Cub Scouts to be actively involved in supporting their children.
Meetings are held during term times at the Scout Hut, 5a Dunstan Ave, Kensington Park.
