2016 Results

Results for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) and the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) are summarised below.

Congratulations to our graduating class of 2016! Many have attained personal best results and their commitment to their senior studies deserves special commendation and celebration!

Our congratulations are also extended to the dedicated staff of Pembroke School and other schools who have taught these students over the years; as well as to Year 12 parents for their support and guidance of their students in this challenging final year!

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

We would like to acknowledge and celebrate the following student achievements:

  • Two SACE students achieved an ATAR of 99.95 and both students used their Mathematics 1A / 1B studies at the University of Adelaide in their Headstart programme to contribute to their ATARs.
  • Seven students studied within the University of Adelaide Headstart programme, five in Mathematics and two in Biology.
  • 38 subject merits were awarded across 18 subjects.
  • Several students achieved multiple subject merits: 4 merits (1 student); 3 merits (1 student).
  • 33 students completed a VET Certificate III qualification which contributes to their ATAR.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD)

We would like to acknowledge and celebrate the following student achievements:

  • Two students achieved the highest IB score of 45.
  • Five students achieved an ATAR of 99.95.
  • 13 students achieved a Certificate of Distinction for their Diploma (a score of 40+).
  • 81 subject merits were awarded across 23 subjects for perfect scores of 7 / 7 grade band.
  • Several students achieved multiple subject merits: 6 merits (3 students); 5 merits (1 student); 4 merits (3 students); 3 merits (6 students).

Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) Combined SACE and IB

Although Australian States and Territories have different Year 12 Certificate requirements, all student results are converted to a common, Australia-wide scale through the ATAR. This rank, on a scale of 99.95 - 0, is used for university entry nationwide. Our 2016 results on this scale were again strong:

  • 23 students (10% of year level) achieved an ATAR of 99 or higher
  • 75 students (33% of year level) achieved an ATAR of 95 or higher
  • 123 students (53.7% of year level) achieved an ATAR of 90 or higher
  • 165 students (72% of year level) achieved an ATAR of 80 or higher

The following students are to be commended for achieving one or more of the following:

  • Governor of South Australia Commendation for SACE
  • 5 Subject Merits for SACE
  • Perfect score of 45/45 for IB
  • Highest possible ATAR of 99.95 for SACE or IB  
   

2016

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

Samuel Aggarwal and Max Pickering achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)

Nicholas Bradman and Shien Wenn Sam achieved an IB score of 45.

Nicholas Bradman, Julia Cretan, Yingtong Li, Tianrui Ren and Shien Wenn Sam achieved an ATAR of 99.95 for their IB Diploma.

2015:

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

Esrom Leaman and Flyn Wells were awarded Governor of South Australia Commendations for their outstanding overall achievement in the SACE.

Flyn Wells and Dylan Nguyen achieved 5 subject merits

Esrom Leaman and Tania Wong achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)

Lucie Wilkinson achieved an IB score of 45.

Tessa Ballard, Tian Ai Cheung, Daniel Ting-Yat Hui, Alexander MacAdam, William Sarah and Lucie Wilkinson achieved an ATAR of 99.95 for their IB Diploma.

2014:

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

David Brook was awarded a Governor of South Australia Commendation for his outstanding overall achievement in the SACE.

David Brook achieved 6 subject merits and Trudy Hong 5 subject merits.

David Brook, Trudy Hong and Huy-Dat Pham achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)

Ella Lawry, Douglas Radford, Isabelle Gill and Imogen Sellars achieved an ATAR of 99.95 for their IB Diploma.

2013:

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

Paul Sandery was awarded a Governor of South Australia Commendation for excellent achievement in the SACE.

Jue Wang achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)

Sarah Chew, Esther Lam, Clare Nolan and Ellen Schulz achieved an ATAR of 99.95 for their IB Diploma.

2012:

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

Michael Bettison was awarded a Governor of South Australia Commendation for excellent achievement in the SACE and also won the State Classical Studies prize.

Michael Bettison, Zachary Forman and Andrew Smith achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Nicholas Duddy, Katie Richards and Lachlan Tamlin achieved perfect IB scores of 45 / 45.

Katie Richards, Lachlan Tamlin, Nicholas Duddy, Niamh Lavender, Aleksandra Olekalns, Roberta Potamianos and Phillippa Radford achieved an ATAR of 99.95 for their IB Diploma.

2011:

Victoria Kollias achieved a perfect IB score of 45/45

2010:

Stuart Brown achieved 5 SACE Subject awards (20/20)

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Claire Barnes, Justin Choong, Annie Collinson, Philippa Kirby, Lucy Mitchell all achieved a perfect IB score of 45/45

2009:

Lucy Hatcher and Duncan McKenzie both achieved a perfect IB score of 45/45

2008:

Alice Wharldall achieved a perfect IB score of 45/45

2007:

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

Chantelle Yam achieved 6 SACE subject awards (20/20) in addition to her 4 Year 12 SACE subject awards while a year 11 student in 2006.

Jared Fairbank achieved 5 SACE subject awards (20/20)

Lauren Cohen and Jessica Vovers both achieved perfect IB scores of 45/45
