Hall of Fame Project

The Pembroke Old Scholars' Association (POSA) Hall of Fame project is an electronic photographic database listing the achievements of Old Scholars in their chosen field. The POSA Committee intends the information and photographs contained in the database to be used for electronic display within the Old Scholars' War Memorial Pavilion (OSWMP) at Haslam Oval and within the School. The information and photographs will also be made available for Old Scholar reunions and the website.

There are photographs of Old Scholars and Staff who have excelled at sport at a national and/or international level on the mezzanine level of the OSWMP. POSA is looking to extend this to achievement in other fields. Recognition may be in the form of an Award bestowed upon the Old Scholar, beyond academic study within their chosen industry, e.g. an Aria or Academy Award, Archibald Prize, Queen's Birthday or Australia Day Honour Award, etc.

The following categories have been proposed:

Business and Commerce Music
Community Service Science and Technology
Education Sport
Film/Drama Visual Arts
Government War Veterans of King's, Girton or Pembroke
Literature Other
Medicine

The list is not final.

The information we now need are names and details of Old Scholars and Staff to be included.

If you know of any Old Scholars whom you believe should be included in this database, please complete the nomination and acceptance form (see Related Links) and return via email to: OSmemorabilia@pembroke.sa.edu.au

or fax to: (08) 8366 6201 or mail to:

To 'spread the word' we would appreciate you forwarding these details to Old Scholars with whom you are in contact.

Those Old Scholars nominated will need to complete and sign the acceptance form and provide a photograph.

This is an important ongoing project for the Pembroke Old Scholars' Association and the Committee certainly appreciates your input.
