Parents are our partners in the learning journey of our students and the thriving culture of our School.

The foundation of our School is our community and it is what makes Pembroke so special. We proudly walk alongside our incredible parents to support our students in the classroom and beyond.

Our close partnership with parents is fundamental to life at Pembroke. Our Class Teachers in Junior School and Home Group Teachers in Middle and Senior School provide ongoing care and connection, and families are also supported by our Dean of Student Wellbeing (ELC-12), Head of Student Wellbeing (Junior School), Head of Inclusive Education, Psychologists, Pembroke Counselling Team, Registered Nurses and our beloved Wellbeing Dogs. These relationships are underpinned by regular and constructive communication between the School and home including through our fortnightly enewsletter and other communications and resources available to parents and students on Trove, the School’s learning management system.

In tandem, the support of our parent community is instrumental in strengthening our learning and caring culture and creating a strong sense of belonging for all. Parents are members of the School Board, Board-appointed committees, and the Parents’ and Friends’ Association and its associated groups: Pembroke Friends of Music, Drama and Film Forum, Football Club, Friends of Pembroke Netball, Rowing Parents' Association and Parents of Pembroke Scout Group. In addition, Year Level Representatives foster connections within their cohorts, and our parents enjoy each other's company throughout these precious years, from after-school pick up to the sporting sidelines to vibrant social events and more.

The fulfilment of being part of the Pembroke family was wonderfully articulated by proud parent Michael who shared his son Elliott’s remarkable journey since joining us in Year 11.
