Junior School Learning Support

The Junior School Learning Support staff work with teachers across the school to grow all students as learners through a wide range of educational experiences. This includes offering enrichment and extension when it is needed as well as providing opportunities for students challenged by the class curriculum to develop skills and independence.

Support allocated is determined according to our well researched and validated Hierarchy of Needs framework.

Intervention is collaborative. Classroom teachers and relevant learning support staff meet weekly to develop and monitor specific, measurable goals for reading support and review and evaluate student progress. Learning Support staff also provide teachers with ideas, information, strategies, materials and resources to assist with intervention for individuals or small groups within the class.
