What are the intake years at Pembroke?

We offer four main intakes for admission: the Early Learning Centre, Reception, Year 5 and Year 7. We also offer smaller intakes in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12. Places in other year levels are offered as they become available.

Boarding applications are welcomed in all year levels from Year 7 to Year 12 and priority is given to boarding students on our waitlist.

When will my child start school?

Please refer to our Year Level Calculator.

How far in advance should I apply for my child/ren?

We recommend applying as soon as possible if you are interested in your child/ren attending Pembroke. We offer places based on date of application, with priorities for old schoalrs, current siblings, children of staff, boarding and Pembroke Connect Program.

Is it too late to apply for my child/ren?

Applications remain open at all times, we are able to add families to our waitlist. Some positions may become available throughout the year. We also welcome families transferring from overseas or interstate and understand the start time for these families is quite often during the school year.

How do I apply for my child/ren?

Please complete an online application form for each child.

On receipt of the completed application and accompanying $110 application fee, your child’s name will be placed on our waitlist for the year level and year of entry.

Please note that completion of an application to Pembroke does not guarantee enrolment for your child.

Can I specify an entry year other than one of the intake years?

You may nominate any Year Level for entry however, there is no guarantee a place will become available. We recommend you also include an intake year on your application.

I have just received an email asking for confirmation of interest for my child to attend Pembroke in the future. Does this mean that there is a position available?

Approximately two (2) years before entry we send out an email to all children on our waitlist. This is to re-confirm a family’s intention of enrolling their child at Pembroke should a place be offered to them. We ask that families indicate their preference via online form. Once we receive these completed forms we update our registration lists and offer positions according to our Admissions Policy.

It is very important that you advise your intention at this stage.

Please note: it is important for you to advise any change of contact details – please ensure you keep your email address up to date.

What is my child’s position on the waitlist?

Each year level has its own waitlist, which can vary in length depending on whether it is an intake year or not. We do not advise a child’s position on the waitlist at any point in time, as the lists change constantly as families change their preferences.
