An alternative to Boarding, Homestay accommodation provides an opportunity for students to live in a safe and secure family home environment.

At Pembroke, we facilitate both long term and short-term homestays for students. This can be as an alternative to boarding at Pembroke, and it also can be for boarding students who require homestay during holiday breaks.

Homestays are organised through Australian Homestay Network (AHN), Australia's largest and most recognised homestay provider. AHN's services include a sophisticated host and student matching process and a 24/7 critical incident service.

Homestay is a wonderful opportunity to live in a home environment and, for international students, to live with an Australian family, with the safety and well-being of the student of the highest priority. AHN conducts national criminal background checks, in-home interviews and home inspections to ensure our students’ safety.

Homestay students attend Pembroke School as day students. They can and do participate in the full range of sport, arts, academic and outdoor activities that Pembroke has to offer.

We want Pembroke students in Homestay to have the most positive experience possible on their educational journey. Get in touch with admissions@pembroke.sa.edu.au to find out more.
